Mental Mindset

It's imperative to understand your mindset and challenge your thoughts and liberate yourself from being controlled by what you think and what others think of you. You realize that your thoughts and the thoughts of others are just thoughts unless there is truth to the matter. They don't determine who you are and what you do unless you allow them to. If there's no enemy within, the outside enemy can't harm you.

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Most people read that verse and don't quite understand what God Is Saying. Yes! Your mind can be completely transformed! You can overcome the fears, doubts, and misgivings. You can walk in total faith. You can eradicate anger, contentiousness, quarreling and more. You can walk in total peace and joy.

The end result? You'll find that satisfaction and happiness that have so far been elusive. Many people go to church, or profess they know The Lord, yet their lives are filled with sin and heartache of all kinds. They have not yet been transformed into His Image and Likeness. We must learn to lay down all aspects of the flesh - the mind, free will and emotions. The Bible Teaches us how to be an "over-comer." It Teaches us how to draw nearer to God, and become more like His Son, Jesus Christ.

All of us go through things in our lives. We all have highs and lows. With those experiences, we can get emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually overwhelm. Life can get you down, and this is why we should do a reset or reboot. Refocusing your version of yourself should be done every once and a while. Focus on the things you want to do with your life, places you want to visit, or the people you want to meet. Bring those to the forefront of your mind and do things for you.

Sometimes we get a little sidetrack with the cares of life. This doesn't only happen to you; it happens to everyone. We all get a little sidetrack, get tired, boredom sets in, and get burned out. We put others and things before ourselves. In this, you have to reset your selves and take back your life. Take time out for yourself!

You have full power over your mindset and the thoughts you think in response to your life. The only questions remain:

  • Does your mindset support you and your spirit or does it depress you?

  • Does your mindset empower or disempower you?

  • Does it create anxiety?

  • Does your mindset help you learn from your experiences or does it convince you that “you are not enough and that is why…”?
